understand packet formats, some features are handy for all DCC users.
For example, it can tell you which
addresses are in use - helpful in finding addresses to purge. It can
also display all the packet details for any specific address, as well
as track voltage. Connect it to the track and get almost instant results.
Features that more advanced users will
like are: bit timing, sizes, errors, totals and summary; packet timing,
lengths, errors, totals and summary; preamble and gaps between packets,
and more. Hook it up and let it store information for an entire operating
session. If you ever have trouble, you can easily check the integrity
of your system.
The standard tester comes complete
with alligator clip test lead set, PC serial cable for firmware updates,
and a printed users manual.
The 'Lite' version does not have bit
timing and errors. It also does not come from the manufacturer with
a printed manual (you download it from their web site), but we provide
you with a printed copy to save you time and effort.
No battery needed, it operates from
